NETBALL 比赛！

二月二十五日那天，我和 netball 队员一起跟 Green Ridge Pri Sch 打了一场比赛。真令我们失望的是我们输了！那队这么强，赢了我们17-8！我们还以为我们能赢呢，因为去年，我们在决赛赢了她们，得到冠军！没想到这次我们输了...... 真难过！

二月二十七日那天，我们也和 Yu Hua Pri Sch 打了一场比赛。正当我们赢了9-0 时，突然天空电闪雷鸣，下起了倾盆大雨！我们立刻拔腿就跑但是已经湿得像一只落汤鸡！唉！那场比赛被推到星期一,真麻烦！

Question: One evening, you and your family were having a seafood dinner in a restaurant. While you were enjoying your meal, you heard a loud scream.

Whenever someone mentions the proverb 'Fire is a good servant but a bad master', memories of what happened not long ago would flash back into my mind. It all happened that Tuesday evening ....

It was my eleventh birthday and my parents decided to bring me to a seafood restaurant to celebrate. I was on cloud nine as I loved seafood, the irresistable crabs, prawns and especially the crayfish, would make my mouth water.

Together with my brother, Bryan, we stepped into the restaurant and the cool breeze from the air conditioner brushed against our faces. Unable to control my temptation to taste the seafood, I placed my order immediately after being seated.

Not long after, the scrumptious seafood dishes appeared in front of us. I stuck a piece of crayfish into my mouth and it was so delicious that I popped a few more into my mouth after that.

"Ahhh.......!" An ear-piercing scream echoed throughout the restaurant. Startled, I choked on my crayfish. I heard loud gasps and the restaurant became silent. I surveyed the area and tried to detect where the scream was from but to no avail.

Just at that moment, toxic smoke filled the air. We covered our noses to avoid the smoke. Everyone started panicking. Fear gripped me. What has happened? Fire? A bomb? Terrible thoughts filled my mind. A restaurant staff immediately shouted, "Everyone, please evacuate! Stay calm, our staff are on hand to guide you!"

Screams and loud cries pierced the air. Everyone was jostling to the exit. My heart pounded like a drum. Mum held my hand tightly while Dad carried Bryan. Mum constantly told me not to worry. Everybody was fleeing frantically and pandemonium filled the scene. We rushed down the staircase to evacuate. People were tripping over one another. Finally, we reached the bottom of the building and everyone darted towards the opposite side of the road.

We watched as the columns of smoke streamedout from the burning restaurant. The flames were getting bigger and spread throughout the building. The raging fire devoured everything in its path. I stood rooted to the ground and my mouth hung agape. Bryan was crying very loudly.

Within seconds, the entire building was engulfed in flames as the fire turned into an inferno.
Then, the wail of sirens of the fire engines could be heard. There was not a moment to lose. The firemen started putting out the fire as soon as they arrived. Ambulances also reached the scene. The paramedics immediately carried some injured victims into the ambulance and were sent off to the hospital. Some were put on ventilators to help them breathe better. Soon, the fire was put out and the injured victims were also sent to the hospital.

Looking back, the originally beautifully coloured building was now burnt to ashes. Unable to control myself, tears streamed down my cheeks. Mum consoled my brother and me. Dad drove us home that night.

In the car, I reflected on the events that had happened that evening. We were fortunate enough not to be injured. I felt very sorry for the injured victims.

The next day, the incident was reported in the newspapers. The fire was actually caused by an absent-minded chef who had left the cooking unattended on the stove. From that incident, I resolved not to be an absent-minded person as it could cause lives.

假期!

今天是假期的最后一天了。想想看，你在假期中是不是玩得不亦乐乎，还是抓紧每分每秒，埋头苦读？我认为我自己在这个假期里特别忙。老师抛了那么多功课让我做，令我多么的烦恼！我每天还要到学校去，一天是上数学课，另一天是练习英式篮球唉！跟本没有时间玩啊！不只是到学校去，还有补习，音乐课啊！在家里，我也要读书，温习功课等等呢！还有，我明天有音乐考试，我还没有温习呢！唉！这个假期，我为什么有这么多东西做？真烦恼！
